WD Photos App Reviews

Like other reviewers, Ive paid good money for WD Mycloud, but have to use this terrible app to upload my photos!!?? It has problems viewing pictures Ive uploaded. Come on Western Digital, provide better support / software for the stuff you sell!!

I dont have any problem and it works perfectly.

This app works great for me. Its simple and does what its supposed to. Love the WD Remote app as well. Negative reviews are likely a settings/configuration issue.

If you have lots of pictures. Forget it. Its been weeks and only 597 of 1100. Whats the point.

Works well enough for .jpegs, but thats it! Considering its an app for Apple Products, it really needs to be able to view .png and .mov files. These are still viewable through the WD MyCloud app, but thats a pain.

Sometimes you need to troubleshoot, like reconnect to device or unplug the power. Being plugged in and online all the time must put a strain on it.

Dont upgrade if your current version is working! Unfortunately this recent update is no longer functional. I have a Live TV Hub that I used this app to view photographs with. After the upgrade I opened the app and my photos appeared for a second then disappeared. I put a photo in the root directory of Live TV Hub. Still not visible. I connected a My Book Live and put a photo in the Shared Photo directory. Still doesnt work. Obviously they want customers to move to the My Cloud app (I can see the photo I placed in the Shared Photo directory using that app) but this unfortunately doesnt work with my version of lLive TV Hub. WD, ever heard of backwards compatible? Not everyone can afford to replace hardware every time you change specs on your technology.

Flickr, Google+, Dropbox, almost all cloud storage provides feather to auto backup photos from iOS. This is very handy but is missing from this app. It is really frustrating to pick photos to upload and jump back to photo stream to delete them. It is really challenge not to miss a photo and not to delete a photo without properly backed up to cloud. Really look forward to see auto backup feature which has been already there for all other players.

No trouble with this program. Really easy to use and provides access to your photos where ever you are. I really like it.

Nice app. Slideshow is a great feature for use on iPhone/iPad and upload is easy but auto backup for photos is a pretty basic function that should be available.

No sync, no auto upload its just a useless app for me

I can view photos Ive successfully uploaded from my computer app but not much use if the iOS app doesnt let you upload pics off your iPhone (just hangs on a 465kb jpg file). Tried both on an iPhone 5 and iPad air (with latest OS). Sort of useless without this feature. Notified support but got no response.

The latest update works very well. I can view my photos anywhere seamlessly. Love my MyBookLive NAS. Also downloaded the new my cloud app and that works great as well. I wish the HD videos stream little more faster.

Best way to save my pictures and share with friends

Always like to have something like this... WD made it happens.

It does as advertised but really should have better IOS integration. Shouldnt have to manually upload.

Nice but the auto-upload is missing The music for the diaporama Will be fun!

It would be nice to add the possibility to search by keyword and by number of stars (1 to 5). Also, video support would be great. Other than that, I really like the app.
