WD Photos App Reviews

I put everything in my drive in a password protected folder. This app cant access them. It says that everything has to be in the public folder. That defeats the point of having a secure drive. I couldnt even play around with it to see how it works, hence the one star on the basis of functionality.

This app hasnt worked for a while. How does a company this large allow their app to not function for months? How does Apple allow an app to remain in the store that doesnt work?

Best app ever, help accessing your personal cloud.

Not more then just ok .

I am happy with my cloud , it helps me to keep my photos , videos and docs in one place.

I put a high number of pictures (several thousands). For an unknown reason, they do not all appear.

This app doesnt work properly. I installed my EX4 added couples of pictures and folders and everything worked well so I added more pictures (62k) and since that time nothing shows on the apps; I just get that stupid waiting wheel forever. I read a lot on the WD community so I: rebooted my NAS, restarted it, rebuilt it, rescanned it, deleted the app, reinstalled it and still nothing. This is a huge deception coming from a supposedly "well established business and renowned in storages" that cannot built two basic apps; because MC Cloud app is as bad since it cannot show thumbnails and cannot save picture on the Camera roll. WD should fix its apps ASAP or leave that business to other players.

Sincerly dont download. It is crap!

I could not get WD Photo to display a new folder on my My Book Live drive so I tried refreshing the view and then cleared the cache and tried again with no success. Next I tried rebuilding the WD2go server on the drive and then rebooted and things got a lot worse. Now I can only see a small portion of the content through WD Photo app and yet the My Cloud app shows everything proving that its all there. The WD Photo app needs repair since the My Cloud app is not nearly as well suited to view photos. I liked WD Photo when it worked but will consider another drive manufacturer if WD Photo does not get fixed.

Ok, MyCloud is a good device, but the App is USELESS. DONT RECOMMEND

Pls create a remote app that playing movie or music. Not just display picture... You can do this as we know!

This app is very useful to view and download your photos located in your wd live external hard drive. WD is trying to give the required service with two apps wd2go and wd photos... However there should be one app for viewing and downloading your movies, files and photos...

After updating my wd app automatically, it says it does not support mybookworld. As unstable mionet, all disk apps are getting worse for WD. Suggest budget and more engineers to WD if they still want stay on the market as a key player next to challengers.

Maybe needs to improve with new functions but its great app that i was looking fo. Istrongly advice ..
