No thumbnails and only saves in a public folder on a PRIVATE cloud???

Very first time I uploaded pics and vids got the thumbnails, so it can apparently do it - I can only see them on my Mac, not my iPhone. Every time thereafter - nothing. Wont even detect these thumbnail-less pictures. Makes ZERO sense to only allow you to upload your photos to a public folder on your private cloud. Apparently this is "by design". Renders these nice devices functionally useless for photos and videos. So unbelievably disappointing.
